The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte participated in the roundtable for peace and governance titled 'Con Punche Regional' in Callao on Friday.

On this occasion, the top official was joined by State ministers.

The event took place at Real Felipe Fortress located in the Constitutional Province.

The 'Con Punche Regional' program not only consists of granting resources and goods, but also holding roundtables with an agenda characterized by transparency and responsibility.

Within this framework, the Head of State announced that her administration will provide more than S/6 billion (above US$1.625 billion) for the implementation of this initiative's second phase. It will complement actions in favor of the least favored sectors' economy, she indicated.

"These are concrete measures to alleviate the basic basket of the poorest citizens, provide them with temporary jobs, in addition to credits for micro and small enterprises," Mrs. Boluarte expressed.

In this sense, the top official said these provisions "go to the heart of the most vulnerable Peruvians' family economy."

Among them, the President mentioned the delivery of Vale Pollo, which will consist of increasing the subsidy allocated from the Energy Social Inclusion Fund (FISE) from S/25 (US$7) to S/50 (US$14) so as to enable beneficiary families to purchase chicken.

According to Mrs. Boluarte, 1.2 million family groups are beneficiaries of this mechanism.

Similarly, the President noted that resources will be allocated so that students from households in poverty situation "are allowed to access credits to pursue higher education."

Furthermore, the Head of State announced that measures will be taken to preserve jobs at micro and small enterprises (MSEs).

Regarding health, she stressed that the government has allocated S/50 million (about US$14 million) to fight dengue. Thus, seven million people have been protected against said disease through larval control and fumigation, Mrs. Boluarte indicated.
