On Sunday noon, the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte presided over the traditional "Changing of the Guard" ceremony that featured the Mariscal Domingo Nieto (Marshall Domingo Nieto) Cavalry Regiment Escort.

During the activity, the Head of State was accompanied by Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen, Defense Minister Walter Astudillo, as well as senior members of the National Police of Peru and the Armed Forces.

The "Mariscal Domingo Nieto" Cavalry Regiment was created in 1904 in order to serve as escort and mounted guard of the President of Peru.

It also provides honors to the President, renders honors to the heads of state who visit Peru, and stands at the main entrance of the Palace every day.

The Changing of the Guard constitutes a tourist attraction of the Government Palace that takes place at 12:00 p.m.
