Peru: President Boluarte congratulates Daniel Noboa on Ecuador's presidential inauguration

Peruvian Head of State Dina Boluarte on Thursday saluted and congratulated Daniel Noboa on his swearing-in as Ecuadorian President held earlier today.

In her message, posted on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter), the top official renewed her commitment to continue strengthening ties with the neighboring country, as well as working together for the development of both populations.

"The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte salutes and congratulates Daniel Noboa on his swearing-in in the brother country of Ecuador, as well as renews her commitment and interest to continue working together so as to strengthen the bilateral relationship, cooperation, mutual trust, and development on the border that both countries share," reads the official post.


On behalf of the Peruvian Government, Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea attended the ceremony held in Quito.

Within this framework, the government official highlighted the historic and unwavering ties between both countries.

In remarks to a local media outlet, the Cabinet member saluted Ecuador's outgoing President, Guillermo Lasso.

The high-ranking official also underscored that the historic brotherhood relations with Peru were strengthened during Lasso's administration.

"With the same enthusiasm and respect we salute President (Daniel) Noboa, because the brotherhood ties are historic and unwavering," Gonzalez-Olaechea stated.

Moreover, the minister conveyed greetings to the Ecuadorian Government and especially to its people. He mentioned that his mother was born in said country.
