Peru: President Boluarte arrives in La Libertad region

A plane carrying President Dina Boluarte landed at the airport in Trujillo, La Libertad region, on Friday morning.

While in the northern region, the Head of State will participate in the signing of a document for the start of contract negotiations towards the execution of Chavimochic Irrigation Project's third stage.

Upon arrival, the top official was welcomed by La Libertad Region Governor Cesar Acuña, as well as by Agrarian Development and Irrigation Minister Jennifer Contreras.

The ceremony will see the participation of representatives from the Peruvian and Canadian governments.

Both countries will execute the aforementioned project. 

The signing of the contract for technical assistance will take place after negotiations, under the government-to-government modality.

Heading to Chao

After her arrival in Trujillo, Mrs. Boluarte boarded a helicopter on route to Palo Redondo in Chao district, Viru province, where the ceremony will take place.
