Peru President attends Armed Forces' civic-military race

Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra this morning participates in a civic-military race held on the occasion of Armed Forces month.

The activity takes place at Bolognesi Square in downtown Lima.

The Head of State is joined by Ministers Jose Huerta (Defense) and Mauro Medina (Interior), as well as lawmakers.

The competition is almost 8-kilometer long and is set to kick off at Bolognesi Square. Afterwards, runners will travel down Paseo de la Republica expressway to Javier Prado Avenue.

Then, participants will follow Galvez Barrenechea Avenue before turning onto Puente Quiñones roundabout to finish.

Prepared by Armed Forces members, several artistic, cultural, and military performances will be taking place along the running race.  

The huge sporting event will feature civil and military authorities, as well as members of the Armed Forces, National Police, and people in general.
