announced on Sunday the formation of a multisectoral working group named the Bolivarian Promotion Committee. Its purpose will be to support the development of the 20th edition of the Bolivarian Sports Games Ayacucho–Lima 2025.
The decision was made following the meeting he held with sports authorities and ministerial cabinet members, including the heads of Foreign Affairs, Hugo de Zela; Foreign Trade and Tourism, Teresa Mera; and Education, Jorge Figueroa.
The working group will be led by the Head of State. It will also include Figueroa; Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) Chairman, Sergio Ludeña; and Peruvian Olympic Committee (COP) Head, Renzo Manyari.
Peru's top official indicated that the Bolivarian Promotion Committee will enable the coordination of efforts among the central government, business associations, and private organizations, among other stakeholders involved.
Previously, the Head of State presided over the ceremony to receive the Bolivarian flame, a symbol that arrived from Caracas.
The torch will travel across nine Peruvian cities before lighting the inaugural cauldron.
The Bolivarian Sports Games Ayacucho–Lima 2025 will take place from November 22 to December 7.
The sporting event will include the participation of delegations from the member countries of the Bolivarian Sports Organization (Odebo).
