Peru: President addresses the nation on coronavirus

President Martin Vizcarra currently reports on the measures taken by the Government to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and those implemented to continue with the economic recovery in Peru.

On this occasion, the President is joined by members of the Council of Ministers.

The event is held at the Government Palace in Lima.

As is known,

the Executive Branch extended the state of emergency from September 1 thru 30. It is characterized by localized quarantine in 4 regions and 46 provinces in other 14 regions.

Initially set to last from March 16 to 30, the nationwide quarantine came to an end on June 30.
