President Martin Vizcarra currently reports on the measures taken by the Government to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Peru.
On the occasion, the President is joined by Prime Minister Walter Martos and other Cabinet members.
The event is held at the Government Palace in Lima.
On August 13, the Peruvian Government approved Supreme Decree N°139-2020-PCM, which declared quarantine entirely focused on 6 regions of the country: Arequipa, Ica, Huanuco, Junin, Madre de Dios and San Martin, as well as on 36 provinces, due to an increase in the level of COVID-19 contagion.
It also established nationwide curfew on Sundays.
