The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Sunday morning accepted the resignation of Agrarian Development-Irrigation Minister Javier Arce, whom he thanked for his fight in defense of democracy.

Arce had presented his irrevocable resignation from the position of Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation, which he assumed on May 22.

Today, the outgoing minister tweeted the official letter of resignation that he submitted to the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo.

In the document, he said that his decision was based on personal reasons.

Moreover, he thanked the Head of State for the opportunity and trust he gave him.

Arce Alvarado, who had replaced then-outgoing minister of the sector Oscar Zea in May this year, is a business administrator and was elected as Andean parliamentarian for the 2021-2026 period.
