Peruvian President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday expressed his commitment to making 2020 a year of progress, development, and reduction of gaps to decrease inequality among Peruvians.
He noted that ministries, as well as national, regional, and local governments, must keep working as always to overcome underdevelopment.
"Here, at over 4,400 m.a.s.l., I want to send a greeting and make a commitment to working hard with the most needy, that is, the forgotten population in the most vulnerable areas," the Head of State pointed out.
"Let's keep working together. I am sure 2020 will be a year of progress, development, and reduction of gaps to decrease inequality among Peruvians," he added.
The statesman recalled that 2019 has been a difficult year, in which highly important decisions had to be taken in order to overcome a political storm of almost three years.
"However, in spite of this difficult year, we have achieved good results in the economic and social arenas, as well as in rules aimed at reducing inequality. I think the most important thing is to achieve development, and this will only possible if we reduce inequality," he expressed.
