During a press conference, the high-ranking official stated that the contingency recorded at point KP43 (Cusco region) was fully addressed following the response adopted by the Executive Branch and coordinated work with the private sector.
"Following the government's immediate response, the rationalization measures adopted, the permanent monitoring of the system, and coordinated work with the industry, the contingency recorded at point KP43 was fully addressed," Miralles stated.
In that regard, the President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar, reported that natural gas and liquids transport pipelines have already been fully repaired.
Likewise, the Head of State specified that gas transportation operated by TGP resumed comprehensively today as of 6:00 a.m. (local time).
"The government's immediate response and constant, coordinated work with the private sector have made it possible to move up the initially planned timetable," he emphasized.
Distribution
In turn, the Prime Minister detailed that the progressive distribution of vehicular natural gas for light vehicles such as taxis, custer minibuses, and mototaxis, among others, began at noon today.
Thus, the supply is expected to be normalized for all vehicles that use this fuel in Lima and Callao, which will directly benefit thousands of families linked to the transport sector.
Productive sector
Regarding the productive sector, the Cabinet chief indicated that the reinstatement of supply for industries will be completed between today and tomorrow, Saturday.
With this, the natural gas distribution service will be fully restored for all users, including nearly 900 small industries that depend on this resource.
The Prime Minister underscored that the restoration of the service reflects the Executive Branch's response capacity in the face of a contingency that required urgent actions and coordination between the Peruvian State and the private sector.
"Thus, this government, led by President Jose Maria Balcazar, fulfills its commitments to all Peruvians, responds to their needs, as well as acts with urgency, responsibility, and concrete results to restore peace of mind to families, transport, and productive sectors," she concluded.
