Peruvian Prime Minister Vicente Zeballos reiterated the Executive Branch's commitment and political will to improving workers' quality of life across the country.

"As a Government, we want to demonstrate that change is possible, as long as we can reach agreements. Therefore, I appreciate these workspaces and dialogue platforms, not only because of the legitimacy of the approaches, but also because of the common interest in serving the country," he emphasized.

Zeballos participated on Tuesday in the first working meeting of the Panel Discussion on Public Employment in 2020, a dialogue and continuous coordination mechanism that the Government develops along with the General Confederation of Workers of Peru - CGTP) and its affiliate unions: CITE, UNASSE and CTE.

Present at the meeting were officials from ministries of Economy-Finance (MEF) and Labor-Employment Promotion (MTPE), as well as those from the National Civil Service Authority (Servir) and the principal state unions in the country.

In his speech, Deputy Territorial Governance Minister Raul Molina noted that an organized, articulated, and responsible work is being undertaken with all social actors linked to the labor area.

"The route has been set and we are going to continue along it," he affirmed.

Major advances are focused on the improvement of personal bonus, household allowance, differential bonus, base scale of one-time incentive payments, and sectoral bonus, among others.

CITE, UNASSE, and CTE leaders coincided on underlining the progress made in these fields, and highlighted that the Government is working on the solution of workers' problems, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported.
