Health Minister Oscar Ugarte on Friday announced that the second batch of 50,000 doses of vaccines against COVID-19 from Pfizer pharmaceutical company will arrive in Peru next Thursday.
"A new batch of 50,000 (doses) is arriving next Thursday; therefore, it will be added to the 50,000 with which we are starting (the process); from there, every week 50,000 will arrive.
So, by the end of March, we will have 250,000 doses from Pfizer, followed by 800,000 in April," he said in remarks to America Noticias.
When asked if the contract for a second batch of China's Sinopharm laboratory has already been signed, the minister said administrative steps are being completed, adding that there were delays not only in Peru, but also in the country of origin.
