Peru: Over 53.5 million COVID-19 vaccine doses applied

53,638,246 doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 have been so far administered in Peru, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has reported.

Out of that total, 22,585,861 were given as second dose.

Within this framework, 6,059,651 citizens have been vaccinated with a booster dose.

This figure represents 55.8% of the vulnerable population.

It also accounts for 21.6% of the general population, the leading government authority in the health sector said in its daily report.
