Peru: Over 51 million COVID-19 vaccine doses applied

51,448,566 doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 have been so far administered in Peru, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has reported.

Out of that total, 22,052,344 were given as second dose.

Within this framework, 4,621,597 citizens have been vaccinated with a booster dose.

This figure represents 50.3% of the vulnerable population, meaning citizens aged above 60.

It also accounts for 16.5% of the general population, the leading government authority in the health sector said in its daily report.
