More than 13 million people have been vaccinated with two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which means they are better protected against the novel coronavirus and its variants.
According to a daily report published by the
Ministry of Health (Minsa), the total number of people with both doses is 13,019,318, reaching 47% of the target population (people aged over 12).
The target population in Peru consists of men and women over 12 years of age, that is 28,024,250 people.
So far, 29,966,582 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Peru.

Vaccination of people aged 18-20
It should be pointed out that the COVID-19 vaccination of people aged 18, 19, and 20 began on Monday, October 11, in Metropolitan Lima, Callao, Lima region, and Ica.
Individuals in this new age group shall attend the vaccination centers during opening hours and at the time of their appointment, wearing two facemasks and a face shield, as well as bringing their ID card.
