The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) on Friday night began the delivery of electoral material for the presidential runoff election to voting places in Metropolitan Lima and Callao.

Under police surveillance, the electoral material was moved onboard 200 transport units, which departed from one of the warehouses run by the Electoral Management Department located in Lima's peripheral Lurin district.

ONPE head Piero Corvetto supervised the delivery.

In this sense, he estimated that the total results of the processed acts from the second round would be published on June 12.

Likewise, the ONPE stated that the electoral material has been appropriately grouped together, put in bags, labeled, and packaged in boxes that correspond to each voting table.

All safety and prevention protocols against COVID-19 were followed at the moment of packaging and transporting the materials.

General Commander of the National Police Cesar Cervantes also participated in the event.
