Peru: New State Ministers sworn in

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo on Sunday evening administered the oath of office to four State Ministers, the Government Palace Press Secretariat has reported.

On the occasion, the Head of State swore in Dimitri Nicolas Senmache Artola as Interior Minister. He replaces Alfonso Gilberto Chavarry Estrada in the post.

For his part, Javier Fernando Arce Alvarado was sworn in as the new Minister of Agrarian Development and Irrigation. He replaces Oscar Zea Choquechambi.

Moreover, Mr. Castillo administered the oath of office to Alessandra Gilda Herrera Jara, who has become the new Minister of Energy and Mines. She replaces Carlos Sabino Palacios Perez in this position.

Finally, Juan Mauro Barranzuela Quiroga was sworn in as the new Minister of Transportation and Communications. He replaces Nicolas Bustamante Coronado.

The ceremony took place on Sunday evening at the Government Palace in Lima.
