Peru: New Interior Minister sworn in

The President of the Republic Pedro Castillo administered the oath of office to Willy Arturo Huerta Olivas, who has become the new Minister of Interior of Peru.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government Palace in Lima on Tuesday night.

Thus, Huerta Oliva replaces Mariano Gonzalez Fernandez in the post.



About Huerta

The new Minister has a degree in Administration from Faustino Sanchez Carrion National University, with specialization in Administration from San Francisco de Quito University in Ecuador.

Likewise, he holds a degree in Administration and Police Sciences from the School of Officers of the National Police of Peru.

The Cabinet member is also a lawyer graduated from Alas Peruanas University, with a Master's Degree in University Teaching and Pedagogical Research, as well as a Doctorate in Management and Educational Sciences from San Pedro University.

In addition, he completed postgraduate studies in Administrative Law and Public Management at San Martin de Porres University.
