Peru: Nearly 28 million COVID-19 vaccine doses applied

So far, 27,914,896 doses of the vaccine against COVID-19 have been administered in Peru, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) has reported.

Out of that total, 16,267,443 were administered to first dose recipients, while 11,647,453 as second jabs.

"That number represents 42% of the target population," Minsa said in its daily report.

The information above is applicable as of October 4 at 6:00 p.m. (local time) and was published on the COVID-19 Vaccination Situation Room.

According to Minsa, the target population in Peru consists of men and women over 12 years of age, that is 28,024,250 people.
