The renowned gastronomic fair "Peru Mucho Gusto," organized by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Export and Tourism (PromPeru), is going international for the first time, with Madrid —one of the priority markets for inbound tourism to Peru— as its chosen venue.

The event will take place from April 11 to 13 at the iconic Espacio Ibercaja Delicias.

This historic edition will seek to consolidate Peruvian gastronomy as a powerful motivator for international travel, as well as position Peru as a top-tier gastronomic and tourist destination.

Spain —considered the main European source of tourists to Peru— has been strategically selected to mark this milestone in the internationalization of "Peru Mucho Gusto."

The official announcement was made during a launch ceremony led by the Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Desilu Leon; PromPeru Executive President Ricardo Limo; and representatives from the South American country's tourism and gastronomy sectors on April 2.

The fair will bring together 25 renowned Peruvian restaurants based in Spain, which will offer the public a variety of emblematic and fusion dishes, including Ceviche, Aji de Gallina, Causa, Tiradito, Pollo a la Brasa, among others.

The format will also feature a zone for the sale of products derived from cacao, coffee, Andean grains, and other superfoods; as well as spaces for artistic shows, master classes, and a large bar dedicated to promoting our flagship drink, Pisco.

Strategy to Attract Spanish Tourists

"Peru Mucho Gusto Madrid" is part of PromPeru's comprehensive strategy to promote gastronomic tourism, aiming to encourage travel by Spanish tourists through digital marketing campaigns, high-impact events, and coordinated efforts with the commercial chain and the gastronomic sector.

Thanks to these actions, the "Peru Mucho Gusto Madrid 2025" campaign is expected to reach 500,000 people, as well as attract 10,000 attendees over the three days of the fair.

The goal is to increase the flow of tourists from Spain to Peru, projecting a 14% growth compared to 2024.
