Peru: Minsa launches primary health care strategy in Piura

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) on Tuesday launched primary health care strategy and home visits to COVID-19 patients in northern Piura region.

The launch was led by Deputy Minister of Benefits and Health Insurance Victor Bocangel, according to a tweet issued by Minsa.

In addition, arrangements are being made to increase the supply of oxygen in the region.

On the other hand, Minsa reported that special brigades are visiting communities across the Corrientes Basin in Trompeteros district (Loreto region) in order to assist locals.

The brigades are made up of medical professionals, nurses, and nursing technicians.

During the visits, the multidisciplinary groups deliver rapid tests, medications, and vaccines.
