After an extended session that had started a day earlier, most Congress members granted their confidence to Prime Minister Guido Bellido's Cabinet on Friday afternoon.

The Cabinet received 73 votes in favor, 50 against, and zero abstentions.

The Prime Minister returned to Congress headquarters this morning joined by Cabinet members to explain the Executive Branch actions and continue addressing the current Government's general policy.

In his speech, he mentioned topics such as the fight against COVID-19 and economic reactivation, among others.

According to Article 130 of the Constitution, the Prime Minister must attend Parliament —joined by the Cabinet— to present the Government's general policy and the main measures pursued by the Executive Branch.
