On Sunday, Peruvians commemorate the life and miracles of Peru's most relevant female saint “Santa Rosa de Lima”.
Born on April 30, 1856 Isabel Flores de Oliva became known due to her sacrifice and miracles performed for the benefit of the people.
Currently, Santa Rosa de Lima is known as the patron saint of the country, the Peruvian National Police and the Philippines.
Thus, each year many believers gather at her former home to commemorate her life and miracles within a framework of faith.
Likewise, a procession was held at the Lima city's Main Square. It was attended by government officials and members of the National Police.
