Peru's U-20 national volleyball team completed its participation in the Women’s U-20 World Championship first round after defeating Mexico by a 3-0 score.
Thus, it climbed to the first spot of the Women's U-20 World Championship's Pool B.
During the previous match, the Peruvians maintained their great performance, as put on display against Serbia and China.
Meanwhile, the team achieved its third victory by beating its Mexican counterpart, which allowed it to lead the tournament's first phase.
After more than an hour, Peru achieved the following scores: 25-14; 25-22 and 25-23.
The team, coached by Natalia Malaga, has not lost any match so far during the tournament (Serbia: 3-0) (China: 3-0).
The national team remains undefeated in the Group B and will play for the gold medal.
During the following phase, there is no justification for mistakes and each match will be considered a finale.
