Peru, Japan maintain excellent bilateral relations

Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Nestor Popolizio held a meeting with Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji in Lima.

This audience took place on Wednesday within the framework of the 120th anniversary of Japanese immigration to the Inca country.

The Peruvian official underlined both countries maintain an excellent bilateral relationship, which was elevated to Strategic Partnership during Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's official visit in November 2016. 

Likewise, he noted reciprocal visits and high-level meetings have strengthened diverse aspects of the bilateral relationship

"A clear example is the upcoming visit of her Imperial Highness Princess Mako to our country, which will contribute to boosting the Peru-Japan ties on all fronts," Minister Popolizio expressed.
