Health Minister Pilar Mazzetti on Thursday joined President Martin Vizcarra in the
ceremony marking Armed Forces Day in Peru.
Additionally, the ceremony included the participation of an escorting guard of Ministry of Health's Mobile Emergency Care System (SAMU), who represented the health workers on the front line of the battle against the novel coronavirus, along with the Armed Forces members.
On this day, the Great Marshal and Patron of the Arms of Peru, the Virgin of Mercy —who is considered a spiritual guide of the country's soldiers— is also honored.
