Peru, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday greeted the Government and people of Hungary on their National Day.

This message was issued by the government agency through its official account on the X platform.

"Peru greets the Government and people of Hungary on their National Day and hopes for the strengthening of bilateral relations, as well as for the expansion of cooperation in the educational, economic-commercial, and water resources fields, among others," it expressed.

Hungary's National Day is celebrated on August 20, commemorating the founding of the Hungarian State and the memory of its founder, King Saint Stephen.

The monarch is known for basing his kingdom on Western European norms and values, as well as for organizing the Hungarian Christian Church.
