has terminated the appointments of 177 district sub-prefects in 11 regions across the country.
The list includes district sub-prefects in Amazonas, Ancash, Ayacucho, Apurimac, Cajamarca, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huanuco, Junin, La Libertad, and Arequipa regions.
In Amazonas, Mininter terminated the appointments of 7 district sub-prefects in the provinces of Chachapoyas, Condorcanqui, Luya, Rodriguez de Mendoza, and Utcubamba.
In Ancash region, the lists includes authorities of 8 districts in the provinces of Bolognesi, Huari, Huarmey, Mariscal Luzuriaga and Pallasca; while in Apurimac, Mininter ordered the termination of office of 6 sub-prefects in Abancay, Andahuaylas, Chincheros, and Grau provinces.
In Cajamarca, the aforementioned ministry concluded the appointment of 9 district sub-prefects in the provinces of Cajabamba, Celendin, Chota, Contumaza, Cutervo, Jaen, San Marcos, San Miguel, San Pablo, and Santa Cruz.
On the other hand, 16 district sub-prefects were dismissed in Cusco region, more specifically, in the provinces of Acomayo, Anta, Canas, Quispicanchis, and Urubamba.
In the region of Huancavelica, the Government fired 15 sub-prefects in the districts of Acobamba, Angaraes, Castrovirreyna, Churcampa, Huancavelica, Huaytara, and Tayacaja.
In Huanuco —an Andean region situated in the center of the country— 13 district sub-prefects were dismissed in the provinces of Ambo, Dos de Mayo, Huamalies, Leoncio Prado, and Yarowilca.
Most dismissals (46) were reported in Ayacucho region, more specifically, in the provinces of Huamanga, Huanca Sancos, Huanta, La Mar, Lucanas, Parinacochas, Paucar del Sara Sara, Sucre, Victor Fajardo, and Vilcashuaman.
Meanwhile, the region of Junin saw the dismissal of 33 district sub-prefects in the provinces of Chanchamayo, Chupaca, Concepcion, Huancayo, Jauja, Satipo, and Yauli.
As for La Libertad, the Government ordered the termination of office of 13 district sub-prefects in the provinces of Ascope, Bolivar, Julcan, Otuzco, Pataz, Sanchez Carrion, and Santiago de Chuco.
Finally, only one sub-prefect was dismissed in the region of Arequipa, that of the district of Yanque, in Caylloma province.
