The Head of State participated in a ceremony for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities at the Government Palace Courtyard of Honor Hall on Thursday evening.
Within this framework, the top official emphasized the need for a State that acts and serves all citizens equally.
"Our government today publicly expresses its strongest commitment to our compatriots with disabilities, firmly fostering the necessary actions to address their main concerns," he indicated.
The President urged authorities to work firmly for brothers and sisters with disabilities, noting the historic responsibility to reduce existing gaps in Peru and fight against inequality.
"We want a fully developed country, but this development is built on inclusion, where everyone can exercise their rights without barriers," Jeri expressed.
The top official noted that it is possible to build a Peru where every person with a disability lives with dignity and full access to their rights.
"(It is possible to build) an inclusive and just Peru, where diversity is always a source of national pride," he emphasized at the ceremony.
