A team of Google operators arrived in Peru's Northern Chiclayo city, in order to digitally register the region's archaeological sites such as Tucume, Chotuna-Chornancap, Huaca Bandera, Huaca del Oro, Lercalench, Sontillo, Las Ventanas, Ventarron, Huaca Rajada, Pampa Grande and Ucupe, which will be later put on display via Google Street View.

The said actions are comprised in the specific covenant inked by the Culture Ministry and Google Inc., which consists in capturing panoramic photos through a portable image capture system carried by a trekker.

The process is carried out under strict guidelines established by the Ministry of Culture's Monuments Management Bureau.

At the same time, Google operators will visit these archeological sites accompanied by an archaeologist representing Naylamp Executive Unit. The person will guide trekkers and guarantee the strict compliance of established standards with the aim of protecting the archaeological monuments' integrity.
