At a working session with the Exporters Association (ADEX) Board,
on Tuesday outlined the priorities of Peru's foreign policy and reaffirmed the South American country's commitment to strengthening exports and promoting strategic investment.
The government official explained that Peru maintains a non-exclusive foreign policy strictly aligned with the national interest amid current geopolitical tensions and the reconfiguration of global value chains.
The Cabinet member said this strategy enables the country to maintain constructive and diversified relations with the world’s leading economic hubs.
Likewise, the minister underscored the strategic importance of industries linked to the energy and technological transition, particularly critical minerals, a sector in which Peru holds significant advantages.
Similarly, he highlighted the potential of port projects and logistics corridors to position the country as a regional hub and expand opportunities for its export sector.
At the regional level, Minister De Zela underscored the dynamism of political and economic dialogue with neighboring countries, with an emphasis on physical integration and trade facilitation.
Moreover, the diplomat made available to ADEX Peru's network of diplomatic missions and consulates abroad to strengthen the export portfolio promotion.
He also reaffirmed that synergy between the State and the private sector is essential to consolidate the country's image as a reliable, stable, and competitive partner in international markets.
