According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), the meeting served to coordinate the joint agenda involving fiscal, monetary, and supervision policy of the financial system.
Last week, Minister Francke and Governor Velarde met to assess the macroeconomic situation and agreed on mechanisms to develop fluid coordination between both institutions, while respecting the autonomy of the issuing entity.
The aim is to preserve macroeconomic stability —a fundamental pillar of the Peruvian economy.
