Peruvian Foreign Affairs Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea and South Korean Ambassador to Peru, Choi Jong-Uk, presided over the ceremony marking the delivery of 15 vehicles to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which were donated by the Republic of Korea within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum.

The Peruvian official indicated that this important donation is a reflection of the "constant increase in trust and friendship between the Governments of Korea and Peru, and between Koreans and Peruvians themselves."

Minister Gonzalez-Olaechea underscored that the Republics of Peru and Korea in 2023 celebrated 60 years of diplomatic relations.

The fleet donated to the Foreign Affairs Ministry consists of 4 cars and 11 SUVs, which will be made available for the protocol services of the leaders attending the APEC meetings. Later, those vehicles will be assigned to Peruvian State sectors.

This gesture highlights the solid relations between Peru and South Korea, countries that have a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, established in 2012, which strengthened bilateral cooperation between both countries.

It is another gesture of South Korea's solidarity with Peru, which stands out through Korean cooperation. It is channeled by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), which has provided Official Development Assistance (ODA) to our country in various projects, in areas such as health, information and communications technologies (ICT), public administration and environment.

This event took place at Torre Tagle Palace in the Peruvian capital, Lima, on Wednesday.
