The Government of Peru, through the
Foreign Affairs Ministry, has expressed its concern and condemnation of the ballistic missile launches carried out by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on September 25, 28, and 29, which aggravate tensions on the Korean peninsula.
"Such actions constitute a serious threat to international peace and security, as well as violate international law and the specific mandates established by the
United Nations Security Council," the government agency indicated in a
statement on Friday evening.
Within this framework, Peru reaffirms its commitment to general and complete nuclear disarmament —under strict and effective international control.
It also reiterates that the peaceful path is the best way to resolve conflicts.
