The Executive Branch has authorized the trip by Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Cecilia Gervasi to the city of Belem do Para, in Brazil, from August 6 to 10, 2023.

According to the document, the Cabinet member will accompany the President of the Republic, Dina Boluarte, at the Fourth Presidential Meeting of the States Parties to the Amazon Cooperation Treaty.

It is also called the "Amazon Summit," which will take place from August 8 to 9.

At this meeting, the Presidential Declaration will be approved.

It will aim to establish the bases for socio-environmental governance of the Amazonia —within the framework of sustainable development promotion in the Amazonian region.

Prior to said event, the Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Environment of the Amazon Cooperation Treaty Signatory Countries will take place on August 7.

At that gathering, the negotiation of the draft Presidential Declaration, to be signed on the occasion of said summit, will continue.

During Minister Gervasi's absence, her office will be entrusted to
