Peru has expressed its sympathy to the people and Government of Japan after a 6.6-magnitude quake hit the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido on Thursday.
As is known, the shaking of the ground triggered numerous landslides.
In statements posted on social media, the Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed its deepest condolences to the Japanese Government and families of the victims.
Furthermore, the Peruvian Government hoped missing people will be found soon.
According to media reports, the death toll has risen to 20. Plus, at least 26 are currently missing and many more have been injured.
