Peru, through the
, stated that it is following with deep concern the development of crisis in the Middle East due to the escalation of conflict in Lebanon.
In this regard, Peru condemned in a statement the launch of missiles against Israel by Iran.
Similarly, our country reiterated its call on the parties in conflict and the relevant actors regarding their obligation to respect the provisions of
UN Security Council Resolution 1701 (2006), as well as to fulfill their respective responsibilities for its entire implementation.
Likewise, the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the
consular sections of the Peruvian embassies in Egypt, Israel, and Türkiye remain in close contact with fellow citizens in the region.
It also stated that the aforementioned sections have drawn up contingency plans for the evacuation of Peruvian compatriots.
"A program has already begun in Lebanon to transport the first group of compatriots to safer areas," the Peruvian Ministry reported.
