Peruvian Defense Minister Walter Martos on Saturday delivered 8 tons of aid to Cajamarca region.
The batch included medical supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE) and rapid tests provided by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the Social Health Insurance System (EsSalud).
Upon arrival in the northern Andean region, the cabinet member was welcomed by Governor Mesias Guevara, who leads the Cajamarca
COVID-19 Operations Command.
Later, the Defense portfolio head led a meeting with the local command. There, the actions carried out by authorities to control the coronavirus spread in the area were addressed.
