Peru: Congressmen Soto and Aragon head candidate lists for Chairman

Two multiparty lists have been submitted and approved for the election of Congress Board members for the 2023-2024 annual session period.

The voting event will be held on July 26 at Parliament headquarters in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

The Congress Senior Administrative Official's Office announced that the election is scheduled for Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. (local time). It will be held in person.

Legislators will cast their vote on ballot papers. Thus, it will not be possible for the session to be held on the virtual session platform.
