During a plenary session on Wednesday,
approved Draft Legislative Resolution No. 8019 that authorizes
to leave the national territory and travel to the People's Republic of China from June 23 to 30.
The upcoming trip was approved by 71 votes in favor, 41 against, and 6 abstentions.
According to this document,
Chinese President Xi Jinping invited his
Peruvian counterpart to make a State visit, whose main date is set for June 28. The tour will include activities in Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Beijing.
On the aforementioned date, the top official will participate in a ceremony at Tiananmen Square in the Chinese capital.
Agreements will be signed at this meeting, including the aforementioned Strategic Dialogue Mechanism on Economic Cooperation, health protocols so that more Peruvian products can enter the Asian country, and the creation of the Peruvian-Chinese Business Council.
According to the document, the top official will remain in charge of the Presidential Office using digital technologies, which adopt digital security mechanisms and guarantee the security of the means to be used.
This measure was established within the framework of the provisions of Article 8-A of Law No. 29158 (Organic Law of the Executive Branch) introduced by virtue of Law No. 31810, as well as the current regulations regarding digital security and trust in Peru.
