Colca Valley's landscapes, customs, and ancestral dances were the attraction at the 33rd UGART Tourism Business Fair, held in Porto Alegre on March 2-3.
State-run Colca Valley Autonomous Authority (Autocolca) participated in this event featuring an information stand.
On this occasion, Autocolca staff exhibited audiovisual material, distributed brochures, souvenirs, tourist maps, and general information about Caylloma province's districts, where
Colca Valley is located.
It must be noted more than 1,000 people visited the stand to request information about said tourist attraction.
"The agencies have been amazed by [Colca Valley's] landscapes, customs, and ancestral dances. We have been the attraction at the
UGART Tourism Business Fair," Tinta expressed.
"Travel agencies representatives and the public in general were very interested in Colca Valley," he added.
Peruvian participation in this event also included traditional dances, as well as screenings of videos showing Colca Valley's tourist attractions and customs.
Within this context, Tinta noted Autocolca continues working on the valley's
tourism promotion, and that they have been invited to participate in various events this year.
