The national team made its official parade debut at Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
Athletes will compete in disciplines: athletics and cycling.
Led by Israel Hilario (cycling), the squad is composed of: Efrain Sotacuro, Luis Sandoval, Jose Casas, Carlos Felipa and Yeni Vargas (athletics).
Felipa, who will compete in Men's 100m and Long Jump, committed to grabbing an Olympic medal and raise the Peruvian flag high at the event.
"[...] I am going to compete against high-level athletes, who have years of experience. However, I am going to make my best efforts to rank among the best ones […]," he assured.
Rio 2016 Paralympics will feature around 4300 disabled athletes from 161 countries on September 7-18.
