Peru's Executive Branch appointed Jorge Raffo Carbajal as the new head of the Peruvian diplomatic mission to the Republic of El Salvador.

Carbajal will replace his predecessor Eric Anderson Machado, who took office in February 2012.

Credentials and full powers have been granted to the diplomat in accordance with the Supreme Resolution published in El Peruano official gazette.

A ministerial resolution will set the date on which the new Ambassador will officially take over corresponding diplomatic duties.

Likewise, other resolution also stated the completion of Anderson's appointment as Ambassador to the Central American nation.

Both resolutions were signed by Peruvian President Ollanta Humala and Foreign Affairs Minister Ana Maria Sanchez.
