Peru and U.S. seek to strengthen opportunities in agricultural trade

Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Desilu Leon held a meeting with a delegation from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), led by Daniel B. Whitley, Administrator of the USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service.

This meeting enabled authorities from Peru and the United States to exchange information on bilateral trade, with the aim of strengthening opportunities between the two countries.

The session took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) in Lima, after the United States Embassy in Peru requested an audience with the ministry's head.

The USDA delegation was composed of Chargé d'Affaires Joan Perkins, Agricultural Counselor Anthony Gilbert, Foreign Agricultural Service Trade Policy Officer Caleb Tyler, and Agricultural Specialist Gaspar Nolte.
