The event marked the conclusion of a year of celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
The meeting reaffirmed the excellent level of political dialogue between the two countries and the positive momentum of their bilateral relations.
Important topics were addressed, such as the growing bilateral trade, as well as the attractive opportunities Peru offers for Turkish investment and cooperation.
Both high-ranking officials identified a potential area of cooperation in security, specifically in intelligence, as a sign of Türkiye's interest in contributing to one of Peru’s main current priorities.
Deputy Minister Denegri welcomed Türkiye's proposal to open a branch of the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Institute in Peru, which will undoubtedly contribute not only to greater awareness of that country in Peru but also to cultural exchange.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both dignitaries took part in a certificate-awarding ceremony for Peruvian diplomats and a student of the Peruvian Diplomatic Academy who completed the course "Training Program for Diplomats from Latin America and the Caribbean on the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations." It was offered by the Turkish Diplomatic Academy.
