Peru and Czech Republic strengthen Defense ties

The Defense Ministers of Peru, Jakke Valakivi, and the Czech Republic, Martin Stropnicky, met this morning at the Army General Headquarters to discuss about Defense related affairs.

Valakivi highlighted the status of bilateral relations between both countries.

Peru’s Defense Minister also requested the Czech Republic's officials to "increase mutual confidence and dialogue between both nations."

Minister Stropnicky thanked the hosting nation for the welcoming reception. He also expressed the "willingness" of his country to continue a fruitful cooperation with Peru, in order to reach an "optimal understanding."

Also attending the bilateral meeting were the Czech Republic's Deputy Minister of Defense, Tomas Kuchta; the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to Peru, Vladimir Eisenbruk; and the Director of Defense Policy and Strategy Division at the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, Jan Jires.

Among Peruvian officials were the Chief of Joint Armed Forces, Admiral Jorge Moscoso; Army General Commander Ronald Hurtado; Navy General Commander Edmundo Deville and Air Force General Commander Dante Arevalo.
