Peru and Bolivia reaffirmed the purpose for continuing implementing social inclusion policies aimed at reducing inequality and poverty gaps and improving their citizens’ quality of life.
During the First Binational Cabinet Meeting held in Puno, President Humala and his Bolivian counterpart, Evo Morales, highlighted the implementation of effective actions, which have contributed to reducing poverty and extreme poverty in both nations.
In this sense, both leaders agreed on structuring working plans on critical areas such as: Early Childhood Development, Financial Inclusion and the creation of economic opportunities for families living in poverty and extreme poverty in rural regions.
The decision is important given that both nations will share experiences on money transfer, school nutrition and pension programs, as well as on technologies, which contribute to closing gaps.
