Peruvian Ambassador Luis Iberico presented credential letters to Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, the Andean country's Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.
The event took place at Nicosia's Presidential Palace on March 6.
Such credentials recognized the appointment of Iberico as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the
Republic of Cyprus.
On the occasion, the diplomat extended President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski's greetings to the hosting country's leader for his recent re-election.
The Peruvian envoy also conveyed his best wishes for
Anastasiades' administration, as well as the Inca country's willingness to continue strengthening bilateral relations.
It must be noted Iberico concurrently serves as Ambassador to Italy.
