A total of 404 Canadian citizens, who were stranded in Peru due to the state of emergency and border closure over the coronavirus outbreak, will be repatriated Wednesday on an Air Canada flight from Lima to Toronto.
The group of Canadians were told to gather at 9:00 a.m. at the Canadian Embassy in Lima, located in Miraflores district.
The Miraflores municipal government and the National Police are in charge of providing security and closing nearby streets.
Canadian diplomats will carry out the control of travelers, in accordance with a previously prepared registry.
Afterwards, the foreigners will be taken by bus to Air Group No. 8 of the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) in Callao.
Heading to Denmark
On the other hand, it was reported that 270 Danish nationals will be repatriated on Thursday, April 2.
To do so, travelers are required to previously meet —at 6:30 a.m.— in Salazar Park, situated next to Larcomar shopping center, for the presentation of documents and identification.
After that, they will be taken to Air Group No. 8 from where they will leave for Copenhagen, Denmark.
